IT LIST: November 2020

To my friends, family, and clients,

I hope November has brought you good endeavors! Each year, I look forward to spending the holidays with my close friends and loved ones and with the current state of our world, gatherings look a little different this year. I hope each and every one of you are able to spend time with your loved ones in a safe and healthy manner. As we approach the end of 2020, I plan to reflect on this year and stay optimistic for what lies ahead in 2021.

In this month’s IT List, I'm pleased to share a few listings that are currently under contract, the latest market trends in Seattle, a client testimonial from a recent sale I facilitated, and my November IT Pick: a positive and uplifting TED Talk that was shared at our most recent virtual company event, MOMENTUM. As always, if you have any questions regarding your real estate needs, I'd be more than happy to help and provide insight. Have a wonderful holiday season!

Case-Shiller Reports Highest-Ever August Monthly Increase For Seattle

For the first time ever in Seattle, the August monthly home price increase was at an all time high. Typically, home prices tend to decrease upon the end of summer but this was no typical summer market for Seattle. Our region still remains second in the nation in terms of home price growth, for the seventh consecutive month.

Market Trends from Around the Sound: Q3-2020

In an unusual year, the real estate market has largely been a beacon of positivity. Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) takes a look at these five market areas each quarter to assess where our market has been and prepare for where it’s headed next. And while activity seemed to come to a complete halt for a brief moment in the second quarter, buyers quickly got off the bench—to take advantage of low interest rates or to invest in homes with bigger spaces or larger yards as working from home and home school became priorities.

King County Home Sales Continue to Defy the Calendar

Seattle is currently one of the best regions in the country to buy and sell right now. While autumn tends to be slower in nature, Seattle has seen no such slowdown as we usually do each year. Local experts predict a busy November in King County for real estate, and for that pattern to trickle into 2021.

Lexi Picard & Tim Dunley

"Trust Laura to give you the advice you need if you are considering selling your home. After almost two decades of living in Broadmoor, our family wanted to make a change. Laura helped us with great advice, and a step-by-step approach to getting our house on the market—from the painter, window cleaner, roof cleaner, handyman, stager, and even the estate sale. Laura was warm and understanding, while being professional, intelligent, and on top of the market with her many years of experience. It was a joy to work with Laura. Her marketing materials were beautiful, with exquisite photography, impeccable staging, and a wonderful write-up feature. We got lots of interest right away, and closed within two months. You can trust Laura to get the job done!"
