The January Case-Shiller Home Price Index reported that for a consecutive year, the Seattle metro area remained second in the nation for residential price growth year-over-year. Since January 2020, residential home prices have increased by over 14 percent.

First Quarter - 2021

2021 kicked off with a limited number of available homes. Across these single-family home market areas, a lack of inventory has, at least in part, contributed to escalating median home sales prices, which have increased between eight and 30 percent year-over-year. Sellers take heed, it’s likely still an optimal time to list a home for sale.
